COVID-19 Updates at Studio Spin

Saturday, March 28, 2020

Due to the Shelter At Home mandate put in place on Friday, March 28 at 8pm, we will be suspending our open gyms, private lessons and Hen Parties until April 6 or until we receive further updates from the state. Although we anticipate being closed for all of April.

We are now offering virtual classes and virtual 1:1 private lessons. We very much appreciate you continuing to support the studio by taking advantage of our virtual offerings. Monthly memberships will include all virtual classes, 1:1 Skype sessions and additional exclusive online tutorials.

If you are a current monthly member, we encourage you to take advantage of our virtual classes and online tutorials, which in turn will hugely support the studio during this time. We understand that not everyone is able to continue their membership due to COVID-19 restrictions. You may opt to freeze your membership while we are closed. Please email your request to info@studiospin.net. Please allow 2-3 days for response and changes to go into effect.

If you have an active class pack and/or single class that has been current since March 17, we have two options for you:

Option 1: Keep the class pack or single class for use when we reopen. We will extend the expiration date for the length of time that the studio is physically closed. For example: if we are closed for 45 days, your class pack/single class will be extended an additional 45 days so you will have the same amount of time left to use your remaining classes once we reopen.

Option 2: Use your class pack/single class towards our virtual classes. We will credit your account for the remaining value left on your class pack or single class which you can then use towards our virtual classes and 1:1 Skype sessions.

Note: If you have a New Client Special but haven’t attended your first class yet, your NCS won’t activate until you book your first class. Unused New Client Specials won’t be extended as you will still have the full 30 days upon scheduling your first class when we reopen.

Please email your request to info@studiospin.net. Please allow 2-3 days for response and changes to go into effect.

Following Governor Wolf’s press conference yesterday, we have made the difficult decision to temporarily suspend our group classes until March 31. While we are not considered a gym or a social gathering of 50 people or more, we feel it is our social responsibility to help limit the spread of the virus. In lieu of our regular weekly classes, we have decided to limit our schedule to Open Gym, Private Lessons, Performance Prep classes and scheduled Hen Parties.

Open Aerial and Open Pole will be limited to 3 students at a time. We will also be extending current monthly memberships and class packs an extra two weeks to make up for the suspension of classes.

We will continue to monitor the situation as it changes on a daily basis. Our hope is to resume classes on April 1. We will keep everyone informed via our Facebook student group, Facebook page, Twitter and email.

We want to continue to be a source of positivity for our badass community of movers and dancers, so be on the lookout for uplifting posts, memes, and videos on our social media channels!

As we receive increased news regarding the Coronavirus, we want to take extra healthy precautions to ensure your well-being while at the studio. We want to continue to be a safe haven for your mind and body so you can leave any stress or worry at the door and dance it out with us! We ask that you abide to the following precautions:

• Please wash your hands with antibacterial soap prior to entering your class.

• Wipe down your pole with rubbing alcohol before switching with your partner.

• Wipe down all mats, yoga blocks, hand weights and straps with the appropriate mat cleaner sprays.

• If you are sick, please stay at home. Rest up and join us when you are feeling 100%. (Our 4-hour cancellation policy will still be enforced.)

• If you have been in close contact with anyone who is sick or has recently traveled, please stay at home.

• If one of our instructors is sick, we will do our best to find a sub. However if a sub is not available, class will be canceled.

As a studio, we are being extra vigilant with disinfecting all door handles and common surfaces before and after class. And changing out the alcohol and mat towels every day.

We thank you for being awesome and appreciate your understanding and cooperation towards these health precautions!
