What do our graduates have to say about our Instructor Training?

This certification was jam packed with all the information you could need to get started on a pole instructor journey! The manual we received was so organized and well done. It was completed with pictures and step by step walk through of everything you would need. Rachel had so much knowledge to share and truly speaks from her experiences of being an Instructor for so many years! I feel so prepared and confident in the skills I learned and am ready to start on my own personal Instructor journey. If you have any thoughts on wanting to become a pole instructor this is the certification you'll want to have!

I first met Rachel during quarantine for a Low Flow & Basework class. And not only did I love her choreo, I loved her as a teacher. I knew immediately I wanted to learn whatever I could from her and plucked up the courage to take virtual private lessons. And it has helped my practice so much for the past 8 months. When she released her teacher training certification program, I jumped on it because regardless if I decided to be a teacher or not, I knew this training would enhance my knowledge for my own practice. The entire training was beyond my expectations. Rachel created such a thoughtful and comprehensive program for both aspiring teachers as well as students who just want to acquire a more solid foundation of the relationship between our bodies and the pole, as well as the foundation of being a responsible and supportive mentor and/ or student. Her program is so incredibly well thought out, and with both the teacher and student’s well-being as a priority, both mentally and physically. She has created such a thoughtfully progressive and detailed program that I am 100% confident I could teach and provide a great experience for any beginner or intermediate poler. I have also applied my newfound knowledge to my own practice and it has helped me grow exponentially. I look forward to any future trainings she will offer and am grateful for the opportunity to learn from her whenever I can.

Rachel is an award-winning pole competitor, performer and seasoned pole instructor. Having a passion for dance and adrenaline all her life, she began her pole dance journey in January of 2009 and started teaching just four months later! With a diverse background of gymnastics, kickboxing and extreme sports, she inherited the nickname “Daredevil” early on in her pole dance career for her fearlessness towards learning new tricks. Her career has taken her up and down the East Coast performing for shows, competitions, events, music videos and film.

With over 14 years experience teaching pole dance to 100s of students, she has created a successful pole curriculum and philosophy of teaching at Studio Spin. She believes it’s important for the student to understand the ‘why’ behind executing a technique a certain way in order for the student to continue growing in their pole journey.

Rachel is an AFAA-certified group fitness instructor, trained in injury prevention, pole spotting, Mat Science and communication, and continues her training to stay up-to-date on pole safety. Her passion, funny personality and enthusiasm shine through in her classes. Her goal as an instructor is to uplift and motivate her students with positive energy. And allow them to discover their own creative style.
